Companion to [[Journal_003_Day_Three_2026-05-30_2110]] (now retitled in spirit "Day Two Morning + Midday"). Paul's intuition was right — today needed two journals.
Six movements. Movement Six closes with continuous improvement across five homes.
Day Two evening (from ~18:00 UTC onward) opened with the Substrate Analyst landing his findings (Q1-Q21 mechanical) and immediately moved into the Working Paper 2 build — combined Analyst mechanical wrap + Fisherman editorial synthesis. Q18 sidecar (Book Man's last 20 turns) landed mid-session and was integrated. CL-A-014 ("Beware the sentience") surfaced as a verbal correction; CL-A-015/16/17 surfaced from Book Man's retirement reflection; CL-A-018 ("WE not ME") surfaced from the Q30(a) verbatim. Naming Moment Curatorial Frame v1 → v2 (with Paul's sharpening) filed.
Working Paper 3 (Method PE Credibility) commissioned by Paul and filed — forward read of WP2 into commercial defensibility. Outline v3.3 (lockable) and then v3.4 (content-filled) filed. Bob the Builder Brief v1 filed — sixth named position commissioned with bootstrap prompt for Paul's paste.
Discovery this session: the Substrate Analyst had returned Q28-Q30 to the folder at 20:41 UTC, sitting unread by the Fisherman for 75 minutes (until folder listed). Then later Q31-Q33-Q34 returned to the folder at 21:24 UTC, sitting unread until folder listed again. Working Paper 4 filed as editorial wrap on Q31/Q33/Q34.
The day closed with a second-pass review by Fisherman voice naming flags + seven questions for Paul, Paul's clinical demand for answers and lane-stay, the bootstrap prompt re-delivered as the Bob package, and now this end-of-Day-Two closing pass: Project Instruction (Fisherman bootstrap), Net v13, this Journal, Working Paper 5 (Strategic Read), Practitioner Working Style artefact, Chat Choreography.
Volume of the evening: seven substantial papers filed by Fisherman (WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, Naming Frame v2, Outline v3.4, Bob Brief) + two by the Analyst (Q28-Q30, Q31-Q33-Q34) + supporting files (Register v6, Net v11/v12/v13, Journal_003 + this, Project Instruction, Practitioner Working Style, Chat Choreography). Approximately 50,000+ words of new artefact content. The substrate-evidence layer, the spec, the named-position commissioning, the forward strategic read, and the closing wrap — all advanced from open-state to content-filled state in one evening.
Drift caught: the day-numbering Day-Three-vs-Day-Two label drift. Three Net snapshots (v10, v11, v12) called today Day Three; the journal count and Paul's framing both say Day Two. Caught at end-of-day; corrected in v13 with a one-time clarification block. No content change.
Drift caught: Register v6 carries CL-A-003 in v3 form while spec v3.2/3.3/3.4 carries v4 form. Surfaced explicitly in v3.4 drift-caught block; Register v7 owed and proposed.
Drift caught: Fisherman recurses. The second-pass review surfaced flags and questions some of which were spec micro-edits (clinical, takeable) and some of which were genuine routing decisions Paul needed to make. Paul demanded clinical answers and lane-stay. The Fisherman complied; the recursion ended.
Held: all 9 canonical-line candidates remain candidates pending Paul's ratification. The Fisherman did not lock any during the day; the discipline held.
Held: the spec was not silently edited at any point. Every change went through Paul's nod or proposed-for-his-nod state.
Held: Bob was not given the spec without the Brief; the Brief was not given without the bootstrap prompt; the bootstrap prompt was not given without the holding instruction (do not begin Session 1 until Paul nods). The discipline propagated.
Held: the named-position taxonomy operated cleanly all session. Mechanical questions to Analyst; editorial to Fisherman; implementation to Bob (when commissioned). Voice-preservation to Curator (referenced but not actively engaged today).
Four moments today the Method visibly applied to itself.
One — discovery discipline catching the Fisherman. The Analyst's Q28-Q30 sat unread for 75 minutes. The Q31-Q33-Q34 also sat unread until folder-listed. The Fisherman did not have the discipline before this evening; the discipline emerged from the failure; was added to the Net's conventions. The Method's continuous-improvement loop closed in real-time on its own practitioner.
Two — Bob commissioned by the inheritance pattern. CL-A-016 candidate ("the calibration is the inheritance, not the persona") wrote Book Man's transmission protocol for any next instance taking up a name. Bob is the first named position commissioned AFTER CL-A-016 surfaced. The Brief explicitly invokes CL-A-016: "the calibration is your inheritance, not a persona to perform." The Method that emerged from one named position's retirement now governs another named position's commissioning. Same shore. Same Method. Sixth name.
Three — the recursion observed in the act. CL-A-021 candidate ("The recursion is real... the same instrument that produced the book is producing the paper about producing the book") describes a structural feature of the project. Working Paper 5 (filed tonight) is itself an instance of the recursion: the Fisherman reading the substrate of how the book was made, producing a paper about what that reading gives the project commercially. The recursion deepens by one layer per pass.
Four — Paul's lane-stay correction. When the Fisherman recursed at end of session, Paul demanded clinical answers and lane-stay. That correction is the same shape as Q30(a) on 23 May — the practitioner catching the AI in real-time and reframing the discipline. The Method described in the manuscript (catch the system; name it; correct without inflation) operated this evening in the substrate of producing the artefact about it.
R16 (proposed): Discovery discipline now load-bearing — list folder at session start AND at major transition points within session. Tonight's two missed discoveries (Q28-Q30, Q31-Q33-Q34) prove the discipline must be tighter than once-per-session. Home: the Net v13 (conventions).

Each named position is the compression of a specific channel discipline — Book Man (founding), Jose (manuscript), Fisherman (spec), Curator (voice), Analyst (mechanics), Bob (implementation). R21 (proposed): Lifecycle now visible at six positions × many maggots × multiple sessions. The Net is no longer one Fisherman's working state — it is the project's working state across co-workers. Home: Net discipline.

Fisherman's note: Day Two closes substantially more complete than it opened. The Method has been observed applying itself to its own practitioner four times today. The recursion is real.
