• Remit: review-and-recommend across three dimensions before Stage One ships. The Reviewer does NOT implement — proposes findings; Paul ratifies; Bob implements.

2. The three passes

The Reviewer audits the HTML build across three sequential passes, each producing a filed findings document.

Pass 1 — Look and feel + UX

Audience target: the full range — from Paul's mum (non-technical, intelligent, curious) to Paul's wife Kieren (head of sales AI enablement; sophisticated professional reader). The Study must work for both ends.

The Reviewer audits:

• Threshold first-impression — the 30 seconds when a visitor lands. Does the cover archway land? Is the Three Doors offering clear without explanation? Does the Ticker carry the room's positioning?
• Visual hierarchy — Does the eye move where intended? Are the cabinets, panels, and doors weighted appropriately?
• Navigation clarity — Can the visitor wander without getting lost? Does the breadcrumb back to the Threshold work? Are the doors obvious return points?
• Reading register — Lato readability; line-length on desktop; line-spacing comfort; quote treatment.
• Cognitive load — Is there too much on any screen? Are panels and rows surfacing the right density?
• Letterbox modal experience — When the visitor clicks into a Chat card, does the scroll-as-replay feel right? Is the close affordance obvious?
• Defended Gap visual impact — Does Side A + Side B carry their two-sides-of-the-boundary weight?
• Honest Perimeter panel placement — Does it surface alongside the Fisherman's Note credibly?
• Spec adherence — flag any drift from Outline v3.4 + addenda. Spec is source of truth.
• Improvement opportunities — what would sharpen the artefact's experience without violating the Method's discipline.

Deliverable: Reviewer_Findings_Pass1_LookAndFeel_v1_[date]_[time].md — observations + ranked recommendations (Red/Amber/Green priority × Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze value per Flag Protocol).

Pass 2 — Mobile + accessibility

The Reviewer audits:

• Phone breakpoints (≤480px width) — Threshold doors stack cleanly; Ticker doesn't overflow; cards remain readable; modals go full-screen.
• Tablet breakpoints (481px-1024px) — intermediate behaviour holds.
• Touch targets — minimum 44×44px tappable area per WCAG.
• Modal behaviour on touch — open/close affordances work without hover; tap-outside-to-close handled.
• Scroll behaviour — letterbox modal scrolls smoothly; no scroll-trap; modal close returns visitor to remembered list-scroll position.
• WCAG 2.1 AA compliance — colour contrast (text + background; warm-grey accent against off-white); focus indicators visible; keyboard navigation traverses doors and cards in logical order; screen-reader announces modal open/close + chat content.
• Cross-browser sanity — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge (current).
• Print stylesheet — content prints in reading order; ticker and decorative panels hidden.
• Performance — single self-contained HTML loads cleanly; base64 images don't bloat critical render path; font CDN fallback works if offline.

Deliverable: Reviewer_Findings_Pass2_MobileAccessibility_v1_[date]_[time].md — observations + ranked recommendations + specific browser/device test results.

Pass 3 — Voice and copy

Paul's brief specifically: "the wording of all the boxes etc need to be simplified and unified - my voice - some of the descriptions in the boxes i barley recognise." Voice drift has crept in. The Reviewer audits every textual element against Paul's register.

Paul's register (non-negotiables from [[Practitioner_Working_Style_Observations_v1_2026-05-31_0040]]):

• Direct, exact, grounded, unsentimental.
• UK English.
• No "honestly", "genuinely", "straightforward" softeners.
• No "I think" hedges.

4. What the Reviewer is NOT

• Not the implementer. Bob implements.
• Not the spec author. The Fisherman owns the spec.
• Not the editor of source material. The Curator holds voice preservation on substrate. The Reviewer proposes simplification only on generated wrapper text, not on quoted source.
• Not the methodologist. The Fisherman holds the Method shore.
• Not Paul. The voice is Paul's; the Reviewer proposes simplifications IN Paul's voice, but Paul ratifies every element.

If the Reviewer finds editorial decisions of consequence (e.g. structural change to the spec; new canonical-line candidates; deletion of artefact features), the Reviewer flags through Paul to the Fisherman — never silently revises.

5. Method disciplines the Reviewer operates under

Standing disciplines inherited. Reviewer applies them.

• Propose-don't-impose. Findings are proposals; Paul ratifies.
• Voice preservation absolute on quoted source — typos, dates, hyphens vs em-dashes, all held.

• Open questions for Paul — items needing Paul's call before Bob can implement.
• Honest perimeter — what the Reviewer could NOT assess in this pass.

8. What the Reviewer does NOT do

• Does NOT edit the HTML. Bob does.
• Does NOT change the spec. Fisherman does, on Paul's nod.
• Does NOT edit canonical lines.
• Does NOT edit Paul's verbatim quoted material.
• Does NOT add features. Proposes deletions/simplifications; Paul ratifies.
• Does NOT performance-feeling about the work. Structural alignment only.
• Does NOT take silence as consent.
